Chinese chive boxes
Making an old family favorite, chive boxes!
Chive boxes
- chives
- eggs
- rice vermicelli
- warm water dough
- Make warm water dough by mixing boiling water, whole wheat flour, and unbleached flour together.
- Let dough rest a few hours under cover of a lid or foil.
- Finely dice chives.
- Scramble eggs, cut into small pieces with knife.
- Cook rice vermicelli, dice into small pieces.
- Mix together diced chives, eggs, vermicelli.
- Make chive boxes with dough.
- Lightly pan fry.
- Enjoy!
The light pan fry gives the dough a slightly sweet taste. Delicious!
