Baked Nian Gao

Recipe is taken from the Internet. I love the taste of the baked glutinous rice flour, but don't eat too much! It's bad for the digestion.

Baked Nian Gao

- 16 oz. glutinous rice flour
- 1 stick butter or 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 2.5 cups milk
- 1/2 Tbsp baking soda
- 1 can sweetened red bean paste

  1. Mix the first 6 ingredients together.
  2. Grease the bottom of a baking pan, around 9"x13".
  3. Spread half of the batter in the pan, then bake at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven, spread red bean paste over it.
  5. Pour the remaining batter on the paste.
  6. Insert back into oven, and bake another 20-30 minutes, or until the toothpick test comes out clean.
