Baked Nian Gao
Recipe is taken from the Internet. I love the taste of the baked glutinous rice flour, but don't eat too much! It's bad for the digestion.
Baked Nian Gao
- 16 oz. glutinous rice flour
- 1 stick butter or 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 2.5 cups milk
- 1/2 Tbsp baking soda
- 1 can sweetened red bean paste
- Mix the first 6 ingredients together.
- Grease the bottom of a baking pan, around 9"x13".
- Spread half of the batter in the pan, then bake at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven, spread red bean paste over it.
- Pour the remaining batter on the paste.
- Insert back into oven, and bake another 20-30 minutes, or until the toothpick test comes out clean.
