Amish Sour Cream Corn Bread

The sour cream makes the recipe very forgiving. The corn bread is very light and fluffy.

Dry ingredients

- 1.5 cups corn meal
- 2 cups flour
- dash of salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp baking soda
- 1 Tbsp cream of tartar


Wet ingredients

- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 Tbsp butter, melted
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk (I used evaporated milk)

  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. Then add wet ingredients.
  3. Pour into greased pan.
  4. Bake 400 degrees F for about 20 minutes.
